Hi everyone~
My name is Connie. I am from Hong Kong, and currently a full-time SCAD student in Savannah.
I am capable to work both traditionally and digitally. My concentration is editorial, publication and animated illustration. My work, "New Yorker Cover: Social Distancing", has won an IDA Design Award 2021 for honorable mention.
My Story
When I was 18, I was diagnosed having ASD. I have difficulties in social interactions, I see this as a gift since I am able to observe and discover a lot that others cannot. I am not a talker. Most of the time, I stay silent. The only way for me to speak up is through art. Whatever it is, happiness, sadness, bad memories, memorable moments, I love to depict them through my drawings. I go for a narrative style of depiction, with messages hidden inside, that way my work is easy to read and understand by anyone since I want everyone to be able to feel my work.
